Whether that is a good trade depends on something we cannot see from here: how many you would actually hand out. A group that guesses at 250 and runs short has the harder problem, because a second order of 250 is priced at 250 rates, not at 500 rates. Run both sums side by side before you place the first one.

Three ZIP codes and what they do not affect

Here is the part the ZIP codes touch, and it is smaller than people expect. An order goes to one address. If your roster crosses 11746, 11747 and 11750, that is a distribution question for your committee, not a printing question for us. We do not split a run across addresses or price it differently by ZIP.

What it does affect is checkout. Put the ZIP of wherever the box should land, not the ZIP that best describes your group. If the treasurer lives in one of the three and the school office sits in another, the box goes wherever you put in the shipping field, and the rest is your call.

The ten piece line

There is a minimum, and it is easier to clear than most people assume. An order qualifies at 10 or more pieces, or at $10 of merchandise, whichever it reaches first. It is not a price floor and it is not a fee. It is a threshold, and a sample set of a design before you commit the full run clears it comfortably.

Artwork at four inches across

Four inches is not much room for a mascot, a year, a slogan and a hashtag all at once. What reads well at that size is a strong shape, one or two weights of type, and space between the elements. Thin outlines and small text tend to close up.

The cut follows the outside of your shape, so the silhouette matters as much as what sits inside it. A circle, a shield or a rounded banner all cut cleanly. Picking them up instead of shipping them
