How the square inch rate works

Die cut stickers are priced per square inch, and the rate steps down as the piece count rises. It is 35 cents at 1 to 24 pieces, 30 cents at 25 to 49, 28 cents at 50 to 99, 26 cents at 100 to 249, 24 cents at 250 to 499, and 22 cents at 500.

A worked example is easier to follow than the table. A 2 by 3 inch sticker is 6 square inches. Order 40 of them and the rate is 30 cents, so each one is $1.80 and the 40 come to $72.00. Order 50 of the same sticker and the rate drops to 28 cents, so each one is $1.68 and the 50 come to $84.00. Ten more stickers add $12.00 to the total and take the unit price down at the same time. That pattern holds at every step of the table, which is why it is worth knowing where your count sits relative to the next band before you settle on a number.

Size pulls on the total as hard as count does, because the rate is per square inch. If a design has room to shrink without losing the words on it, that is a lever most people reach for last and could reach for first.

The smallest order we will take

An order qualifies at 10 or more pieces or at $10 of merchandise, whichever condition it meets first. Those are alternatives, not a pair of hurdles. A few large stickers can clear the dollar side while sitting under ten pieces, and a run of very small ones can clear the piece side while sitting under ten dollars. It is not a price floor and it is not a minimum spend.

Artwork and the shape of the cut

Die cut means the cut path follows the outline of your design rather than a rectangle around it. A logo with a long tail, a house shape, a circle with a flag off one side, all of those cut to their own edge. What we need is a design with an outline clear enough to trace and a little room around the parts you do not want the blade near. Text sitting hard against the edge of a shape is the most common thing we write back about.
