A small classroom set of a simple design and a large spirit run for a whole grade sit on the same rate ladder. The only difference between them is which band the count falls into.

Artwork and where the cut falls

Die-cut means the outline follows the art rather than sitting in a rectangle around it. A mascot keeps its ears. A ribbon keeps its tails. Lettering on its own can be cut as lettering, though very thin strokes and long thin tails are worth thickening a little before you send the file, because the cut line has to have somewhere to go.

Two things are worth checking on any design drawn for a school group. First, keep important detail away from the very edge, since the cut line needs a small margin to work with. Second, look hard at small text. A team name that reads perfectly on a screen at full size can close up when it is reduced to fit a 2 by 3 inch shape. If it looks tight, either simplify the text or move up a size and let the square inch price do what it does.
