Which ZIP code are we supposed to put on the order?

That is the first thing people here tend to ask, and the answer is short: use the one your mail already arrives under. One address, three postal answers

You will sometimes see two different ZIPs attached to the same household: one on a utility bill, one on mail from an organisation that keeps its own records. For a sticker order it makes no difference which of the three is correct in some larger sense. Pick the one that already works for you and put it in the shipping fields. If the person paying lives under a different ZIP from the person receiving the box, put the receiver's address in the shipping fields and the payer's in the billing fields. The two are allowed to disagree.

This matters most on group orders, where the shipping address is often a house rather than an institution. A parent treasurer collecting for a spirit run usually wants the box at home, and the address that works is the one their own mail already uses.

How a per square inch price is built

Die-cut stickers are priced by area, and the rate per square inch falls as the quantity goes up. At 1 to 24 pieces the rate is 35 cents. From 25 to 49 it is 30 cents. From 50 to 99 it is 28 cents. From 100 to 249 it is 26 cents. From 250 to 499 it is 24 cents, and at 500 it is 22 cents.

Work it through with the size most groups land on. A 2 by 2 inch sticker is 4 square inches. Order 50 of them and the rate is 28 cents, so each one is $1.12 and the run of 50 comes to $56.00. Order 100 of the identical sticker and the rate drops to 26 cents, so each one is $1.04 and 100 of them is $104.00. You are not paying double for double the quantity, because the second band is cheaper per square inch than the first.

This is why size and quantity are worth deciding together rather than one after the other. A slightly smaller sticker at a higher count can land on a figure that looks nothing like your first estimate.

The minimum, and why it is not a price floor

An order qualifies at 10 or more pieces, or at $10 of merchandise, whichever comes first. Those are two separate doors into the same room. A small run of larger stickers can clear $10 well before it reaches 10 pieces, and a run of very small ones can reach 10 pieces long before it reaches $10. You only need one of the two.

It is written that way because a per square inch rate does not care how many objects you cut. The minimum exists so that an order is worth setting up at all, not to push anyone up to a spending level.

Artwork for a group design

A die cut follows the outline you give it, so the shape of the artwork is the shape of the sticker. For a fundraiser design that usually means a mascot, a year or a slogan, and the decision worth making early is whether the cut hugs the artwork tightly or runs around a simple outer shape with a border. Simple outer shapes are easier for younger hands to peel.

Text is the other thing to settle before you commit to a size. A slogan that reads fine on a phone screen can close up once it is only four square inches wide. If a line is doing real work, give it room or give the sticker more area.

Coming to the counter or having it sent

Four kinds of orders that come through from here

Parent volunteers running a fundraiser. You usually have a fixed target and a committee that wants a per piece figure in writing. Work backwards from the bands: decide the sticker size, pick the count that lands in the band you can afford, and the rest is multiplication.

Class or grade level groups. Smaller counts, often several designs rather than one. Each design is quoted on its own area and its own piece count, so a 30 piece design and a 120 piece design sit in different bands on the same order.
