Shaving half an inch off the height of a design is a real lever if a budget is tight.

A 3 by 4 inch sticker, priced all the way out

Take the size a lot of school groups settle on: 3 inches by 4 inches, which is 12 square inches. At 250 pieces the rate is 24 cents, so each sticker is $2.88 and the 250 together come to $720.00. Run the identical design at 500 pieces and the rate falls to 22 cents, which puts each sticker at $2.64 and the full 500 at $1320.00.

That is the whole calculation, and it is worth doing before the design is settled, because a committee locked into a piece count can still adjust the dimensions and land where it wanted to be.

What the artwork actually has to do

Die-cut means the cut follows the outline of the design rather than a rectangle around it. A shape with a clean, closed outer edge is the easiest thing to work from. Very thin spurs, single hairline strokes and tiny gaps between letters are the parts that tend to need a conversation before anything is cut.

Text size is the other thing that catches people out. A slogan that reads well on a poster can become unreadable once it is sitting inside four inches. Set the artwork at the size it will be printed and look at it at that size, not zoomed in on a laptop. If a design has a year, a team name or a count of laps in it, double check the numbers, because the file is what gets printed and we do not edit copy on your behalf.

The smallest order that qualifies

An order qualifies at 10 or more pieces, or at $10 of merchandise, whichever comes first. It is not a price floor. A single classroom wanting a couple of dozen stickers is a real order, and so is a small run of one design that somebody wants to see in hand before committing a whole grade to it.

Picking the order up or having it sent

Four groups who tend to order these
